FOUND: Collars near Craighead Forest Park, Jonesboro
I was walking my dog along the Oak Street Trail by the Craighead Forest Park entrance in Jonesboro at 5:42 PM on Tuesday when I spotted a handful of collars lying on the ground beside a leash. They come in blue, red, and green, and one tag peeped out from the strap. It felt oddly personal to find someone else’s belongings, but I breathed a small sigh of relief thinking they could be reunited with their owner soon. I gathered the collars and placed them in a visible spot by the trailhead, hoping this post helps someone recognize them.
Lost kittens near Craighead Forest Park, Jonesboro
Last Friday around 8:15 PM I left my apartment and my two kittens slipped out the door. They bolted toward Craighead Forest Park, toward the main gate by the trailhead, and I haven’t seen them since. They’re tiny and curious: one gray tabby with white paws, the other a calico with a tiny white spot on her nose. I’m terrified they’ll get separated or hurt out there; I miss them and want them back safe. If you spotted two small kittens near the park’s entrance or along the trails, please keep an eye out and let me know.
Beagle mix with blue reflective collar, lost yesterday
I lost my beagle-dachshund mix named Olive yesterday around 6:15pm near the Kroger on Caraway Road in Jonesboro. She's about 40 pounds, tan and white with a black saddle, and she wears a bright blue reflective collar with a small brass bone-shaped tag that reads Olive. She has a crescent-shaped scar on her right ear and a white heart-shaped patch on her chest, which are pretty distinctive. I’m really worried—she’s friendly but gets overwhelmed by loud noises, and she’s never far from me, especially on walks. If anyone finds her, I’d be incredibly grateful to get her back; she’s been with us since she was a puppy.
Found bright green budgie near Mall at Turtle Creek
I found a bright green budgie this afternoon around 3:45pm outside the Mall at Turtle Creek in Jonesboro. It hopped up onto my shoe and then perched on the bench by the bookstore, chirping softly as if used to people. It has a yellow face, blue-tipped tail feathers, and a tiny stainless steel leg band engraved 'AR-12' on its left leg. I know someone is probably missing this little guy and would be heartened to be reunited—if this is yours, send me a note here with details about the bird or the band, and we can meet near the parking lot by the food court.
