LOST: Hats in Humboldt County

Hello, I am Noah Kim. I was at Arcata Plaza around 3:30 PM yesterday, browsing the weekend market with my two felt hats, one charcoal gray and one tan with a feather in the band, tucked into the back pocket of my jacket. A gust rolled up from Humboldt Bay and knocked them from the bench, and by the time I turned back they were gone. These hats are not just clothing; they are travel memories and a little luck I carry with me on road trips up the redwoods. If you spotted them around Arcata Plaza or near the Humboldt County Library, please keep them safe.

Pins lost in Old Town Eureka, Humboldt County

I LOST my enamel pins. I was wandering through Old Town Eureka around 3:15 p.m. last Sunday when my pins slipped from my denim jacket and vanished into the crowd. The set includes a lighthouse pin and a Humboldt map pin—tiny reminders of our North Coast road trip. I have walked the sidewalks from the Carson Mansion to the plaza, checked the market stalls twice, and asked nearby shop staff, but they are gone. Those pins mean a lot to me, and I am hoping they are simply misplaced somewhere nearby. If anyone found them, please leave a note on the site.

Lost: Equipment for Various Sports

On Sunday at 3:15 p.m., I left Arcata Community Park near the I Street entrance after a casual pickup game and realized I’d forgotten my equipment bag by the bleachers. It carries gear for various sports—a soccer ball, a tennis racket, knee pads, and a worn backpack with a cracked zipper. The redwoods rustled above as I hiked back, shoulders heavy with disappointment and stubborn hope that someone picked it up and kept it safe. If you saw a bag by the basketball courts or the parking area, please give a thought to the person who relies on it for weekend games.

Lost sheet music after rehearsal, Arcata Plaza at 7:15 PM

I was finishing a quick practice at a small studio near Arcata Plaza around 7:15 PM on Tuesday, and I must have left my sheet music on the bench. I realized it was missing once I got home to Eureka and realized I couldn't find the pieces I need for Saturday's recital. The music is in a green binder with a few pencil markings from last Friday's run-through. If you found it near the Arcata Plaza fountain after sunset, please let me know — losing it feels like losing a part of myself and my chance to perform.

Nintendo Switch OLED with neon Joy-Cons

Yesterday around 3pm I lost my Nintendo Switch OLED near Arcata Plaza in Arcata, Humboldt County, after I stopped by the Arcata Transit Center. It’s in a light gray carrying case with neon blue and red Joy-Cons; the screen protector is peeling a bit at the bottom, and there’s a small crack on the edge. A distinctive feature is an orange silicone grip on the left Joy-Con and a tiny whale sticker on the back of the dock. It’s been a rough day—this device is how I unwind after long shifts, so I’d really appreciate finding it.
