Sterling silver hoop earrings with marcasite

I found a pair of earrings this afternoon around 3:15pm outside the Houston Galleria on Westheimer Rd. They’re small sterling silver hoops about 1 inch in diameter, with delicate marcasite stones along the edge. They’re in decent shape, a little tarnished from daily wear but mostly intact; clasp works fine. One earring has a tiny moon-shaped engraving on the inside, the other looks plain. There’s no obvious brand logo, so I’m guessing they’re costume jewelry rather than a designer pair.
