The cases are sturdy black with a few faded company stickers and some folders peeking out of the top. They looked like someone’s livelihood, so I didn’t move them far and kept them by the sidewalk until I could figure out what to do. I know how stressful it can be to misplace files and equipment on a job, and I hope whoever owns them sees this and comes by to claim them.

It's a slender 14k gold band, about 1.8 mm wide, with a small round sapphire in a clean bezel setting. The inside is engraved with 'M.J. 1912,' which is a tiny clue.
