Lost: Ties after shift in Glasgow.
Last Saturday, around 7:15 p.m., I was wrapping up a shift at a small cafe near Glasgow Central Station. I’d taken off my ties to wipe my brow and left them draped over a chair by the window. When I came back, the chair was empty and the display rack was bare. Those ties were a gift from my mentor and the only thing I rely on for a job interview this Tuesday; I feel anxious about showing up without them.
