Tiny gray hamster in blue cage

I found a tiny gray-and-white hamster this afternoon around 3:15pm, near Mechanic Street by The Strand in Galveston. It was sitting inside a blue travel cage with a bright yellow latch, the door a tad ajar. The little guy has a small white patch on his right flank and a pink nose that twitches when I speak to him. I carried the cage to a bench outside a café and kept an eye on him while I checked for a tag or microchip—nothing obvious. I know someone out there is missing a pet, and I’d love to reunite him with his family; I’m hoping the owner sees this and claims him soon.
