Lost paintings near UF campus, Gainesville
I’m Grace Martinez, new to Gainesville and chasing after a dream with my two little paintings. I lost them after a late studio session around 5:30 p.m. yesterday on the University of Florida campus. I’d been painting near the Reitz Union courtyard and left the canvases on a portable easel beside the campus bookstore while I ran to grab a coffee. When I returned a few minutes later, a light breeze and a crowd of students made the space feel chaotic, and my pieces were gone from the spot where I had left them. The paintings are about 18 by 24 inches, with bright coastal tones, wrapped in a simple black frame. They mean a lot to me, and I’m hoping someone saw them somewhere nearby and did the right thing.

Hey, I lost my pink plush unicorn yesterday around 3pm near the Starbucks at Butler Plaza on Archer Road in Gainesville. It's about 12 inches tall with soft pink fur, a lavender horn, and a rainbow mane. There’s a small white star stitched on its left ear and a tiny blue thread on the right paw—hard to miss if you spot it. It was a gift from my daughter and has sentimental value; she finds comfort cuddling it at night. It’s about 12 inches tall, super soft, with a tiny white star stitched on its left wing and a pale gray belly. The toy has a small yellow tag near the foot that says 'Playtime Favorite' and it’s a bit wrinkled from sitting on the curb. Red leather stamp album with vintage stamps
I found a vintage stamp collection this afternoon around 2:15 pm, tucked inside a red leather-bound album with a brass clasp and a tiny magnifier attached to the spine. It was sitting on a bench behind the downtown Gainesville Post Office on Main Street, not far from City Hall, near the bus stop. Inside, there are stamps dating from the 1920s to the 1940s, including a few German and Japanese issues, plus a pencil note on the inside cover that reads 'No. 17.' The album shows some wear, and a corner is slightly torn, but most stamps are still in decent shape.
