Found flutes in downtown Fredericksburg
I was wandering through downtown Fredericksburg this past Saturday around 11:20 a.m., near the Fredericksburg Town Hall and the riverfront, when something shiny caught my eye under a bench. A navy flute case lay there, and when I opened it, two flutes glinted back at me, perfectly intact. They look well cared-for, with gentle scratches along the keys. I’m posting here because I know how important a musician’s instrument is to them. If these are yours, you’ll recognize the case and the familiar tone when you try them again near the river walk.
Lost sheet music near Fredericksburg Library
I lost my sheet music for a recital last Friday around 6:45 p.m. outside the Fredericksburg Library on Caroline Street in Fredericksburg. It’s a weathered binder with a coffee stain on the front and a few pages folded at the edges from countless rehearsals. The piece is special to me and tied to a memory of my grandmother who encouraged me to play from the heart. I’m hopeful someone picked it up and will return it to the library desk or the area near the entrance.
Brown sunburst 4/4 violin (String Instruments)
I lost my brown sunburst 4/4 violin yesterday around 3pm. It's a Yamaha V5 with a black ebony chin rest, and a faint crack near the lower bout that was repaired last year. The back shows a subtle flame pattern and there’s a small pencil inscription 'J.R.' inside the f-hole. I think I may have left it near the Fredericksburg Visitor Center on Caroline Street in Old Town Fredericksburg after a quick rehearsal. It really matters to me; it’s my main instrument for gigs and practice, and I really need it back.
Sunburst 4/4 violin in black case
I lost my sunburst Stentor 4/4 violin yesterday around 3pm outside the Fredericksburg Train Station on Hanover Street. The violin is in a black hard case with a bright red velvet lining; there’s a tiny dent on the scroll and a moon sticker on the back of the neck—easy to spot if you know what to look for. It still smells faintly like rosin, and the chin rest is a bit worn from practice. It has huge sentimental value—it was a gift from my grandmother and really meant a lot to my daughter, who’s been practicing for her first recital. If anyone found it, please reach out; I’d be forever grateful to get it back.
Blue Yamaha snare drum with tiger sticker
I lost my blue Yamaha snare drum with a yellow tiger sticker on the shell. It's a standard 14-inch snare with chrome hardware and a slightly warped rim. I last saw it yesterday around 2:15pm in front of the Fredericksburg Library on Caroline Street, while I was helping a friend move equipment into a car. It has sentimental value—it was a gift from my older brother when I started playing in high school. If anyone found it, please get in touch; I really need it back for practice this weekend.
Lost colorful hand-painted maracas with a clear sound last seen at a music festival in Fredericksburg.
I misplaced my colorful set of maracas while attending a local music festival in Fredericksburg last weekend. They have a beautiful hand-painted design with vibrant colors and a clear sound. I remember using them during one of the percussion workshops and after that, I can't find them anywhere! I've looked through the park and surrounding areas but no luck. I'm really hoping someone may have picked them up and could help me get them back!
