I was in Elmira-Corning, New York, wandering Market Street near the Corning Museum of Glass around 4:15 PM Friday when I realized my memory cards were missing from my camera bag. They held the last trip’s photos—two days of rainy skies and silly selfies with friends—and I’m already imagining them tucked in a jacket pocket somewhere. The two cards aren’t fancy, but they matter to me. I retraced steps along Market Street from the museum entrance to the Elmira College crosswalk, then along the riverfront walkway, but they’re nowhere in sight.
