I was walking home from a late shift along Market Street near Market Square in Mechanicsburg around 7:15 p.m. yesterday when my bright red running shoes slipped off my feet and disappeared into the dusk. The pair has a white side stripe and a small scuff on the left toe from last week’s trail run. I’ve relied on them for morning jogs through the Cumberland Valley hills, and losing them has me worried about keeping up with my routine.
