They were a navy rolling bag and a smaller black carry-on, both damp from the rain and a little scuffed. I paused to check for a name tag or luggage tag and then carried them to a secure area so they wouldn’t get bumped by traffic. It felt good to shield someone’s belongings for a few hours until the right owner could claim them on the site.
