On Friday around 3:15 p.m., I was going through old photos at the Downtown Charlottesville Mall and must have left them behind. The stack includes campus scenes—the UVA Rotunda, a chalkboard sign from The Corner, and a goofy portrait of my grandmother in a sunlit yard. I noticed they were missing only after I got home, and the empty sleeve feels like a hollow echo of a happier day.
