Lost ties in Charlottesville
While grabbing a coffee on Tuesday at 4:15 PM, I realized my two favorite ties were missing from the coat rack outside the Jefferson Theater on the Downtown Mall. I last wore them this morning to a job interview, and one has a subtle navy stripe while the other is solid charcoal. They’re sentimental because one was a gift from my grandmother. If you spot them, please keep them safe—the owner is hoping to bring them home soon.
Lost: Gym clothes at UVA North Grounds
Friday morning at about 7:45 a.m., I realized my gym clothes were gone from the locker room at UVA North Grounds Recreation Center in Charlottesville. I had just finished a tough workout and hung my gray hoodie and gym bag on locker B-12 before heading to the showers. When I came back, the bag was gone and the row of lockers felt strangely empty. The clothes are a large gray sweatshirt, black joggers, and a red hoodie with a small tear at the cuff. I’m really hoping someone picked them up and will return them through the site.
Found belts near Charlottesville’s Rotunda
Earlier this afternoon, around 3:10 p.m., I found three belts on a bench near the Rotunda on University Avenue, just off the University of Virginia campus. The belts are different colors—brown leather, black, and a gray fabric strap—with a mix of buckles that look well-worn but sturdy. I can picture a student or tourist who noticed they were missing and wandered back through the Lawn to retrace their steps.
