Found Hand Tools in Charlotte near Freedom Park
I was walking along the Little Sugar Creek Greenway near Freedom Park around 11:20 a.m. today when I spotted a tote of hand tools sitting on a park bench. A hammer, a tape measure, and a small power drill were all mixed together, with a sticker that read Carolina Tools on the case. It looked like someone who does small repairs left them behind while taking a break from a weekend project. I gathered the tools and looked for an owner, but I didn’t see anyone nearby. I’m posting in the hopes the owner will recognize their tools by the brands and the general layout.
Lost drapes from my Charlotte apartment near Freedom Park
Friday at 7:12 p.m., I was in my first-floor Charlotte apartment on East Boulevard, just steps from Freedom Park, when I pulled the living room drapes closed to catch the sunset. I dashed out for a quick errand and came back to find them missing from their rod; the room felt suddenly exposed and bright. They're simple beige blackout panels, about 84 inches long, nothing fancy, but they help me sleep and keep the glare down during Carolina summers. If you saw them around the building or near Freedom Park, please keep them safe until I can fetch them.
Found JBL Charge 4 portable Bluetooth speaker, blue
Found a JBL Charge 4 portable Bluetooth speaker this afternoon around 2:15 pm in the parking lot behind Bank of America Stadium on Mint Street in Charlotte. It's a blue speaker with a black front grill, about the size of a lunchbox, and in generally good condition with a small dent on the top edge and a faint scratch near the logo. There's a blue silicone bumper around the rim and a white sticker on the bottom that reads 'Bea'—likely the owner's nickname. It looked recently used, and I can imagine someone stuck in traffic wanting to jam out again. If this is yours, drop me a note here so we can arrange a quick pickup or exchange.
Black Samsung Galaxy S22+ in blue case
I lost my black Samsung Galaxy S22+ yesterday around 3pm outside the Starbucks on Tryon Street in Uptown Charlotte, near the Epicentre. It's in a blue Spigen case with a red sticker on the back bearing the initials 'PK', and the screen is cracked along the bottom-left corner. The phone still works and shows my work calendar, but the back is a little scuffed from a drop earlier that week. Losing it has me stressed because it holds important emails, contact info, and family photos. If anyone found it, please ping me here — I’d really appreciate getting it back.
Grey fabric armchair with brass nailhead trim
I lost my grey fabric armchair yesterday around 3pm near the Starbucks on Tryon Street in Uptown Charlotte. It's about 34 inches wide and 30 inches deep, with dark espresso wooden legs and brass nailhead trim along the front arms. The fabric is a soft mid-gray with a subtle texture, and there are a couple of identifying marks: a tiny tear in the left arm seam and a small coffee-ring stain on the seat cushion. It was a gift from my grandmother and holds a lot of sentimental value, so I really need it back. If you found it or have any information, please drop me a message here in the app.
Lost large stainless steel cooking pot with black silicone handle near Charlotte skyline park.
I accidentally left my favorite large stainless steel cooking pot at a park near the Charlotte skyline after a picnic. It has a black silicone handle and some light scratches from regular use. If anyone finds it, I'd really appreciate getting it back as it's very handy for family dinners.
Lost silver chef's knife with wooden handle and scratched blade left on picnic table in backyard.
I accidentally left my beloved silver chef's knife on the picnic table during a barbecue in my backyard in Charlotte. I realized it was missing the next day when I went to cook. It's got a wooden handle and some noticeable scratches on the blade, which makes it unique. If anyone has seen it, please reach out!
