I realized my driver's license was missing around 9:40 PM while I was walking back to my car after a quick stop near the CMU campus on University Avenue. The area around the parking lot by the quad was quiet, and the streetlamps cast long shadows as I searched the ground. The license is a standard card with my photo and birth date; it’s essential for my shift tomorrow and for getting around for work. I’m anxious about the delay and the replacement process.
