On Sunday around 4:15 PM, I was at the Alexandria Mall in Central Louisiana, taking a break outside the food court. My tiny box of action figures sat beside me on a bench while I checked a text, and when I looked back they were gone. They’re four vintage sci‑fi figures with bright paint, one with a blue cape, the others in red and silver. These aren’t just toys to me—they remind me of my late uncle and all the summers we spent in this town.
