It’s bright red with a blue stripe and a tiny headlight; it looked out of place among the leaves and receipts. I picked it up and checked for a note, but there wasn’t one. I turned it in at the station’s lost-and-found today, hoping the owner might see this and recognize it. It reminded me of the toy my nephew once had, and I felt a small tug of empathy for whoever forgot it.
