Lost synthesizers near Pepper Place Market, downtown Birmingham
I’m Jordan Miles. I was finishing a late set at The Nick near Pepper Place Market around 11:15 PM on Tuesday and realized my two synthesizers were missing from the backstage area. The rig isn’t a museum piece, but it’s my lifeline for gigs and late-night practice—a vintage Minilogue and a compact desktop synth, both in a gray protective case. I’ve felt a pit in my stomach since, because those sounds are my voice on stages around Birmingham. If anyone turned them in or saw them left somewhere near the entrance of Pepper Place Market, please message me through the site.
Found drum set near Birmingham Museum of Art
I'm Sam Rivera. I found a drum set outside the Birmingham Museum of Art around 4:00 PM today, tucked behind a bench near the fountain on 3rd Avenue North. It’s a five-piece maple kit with a red sticker on the bass drum that reads 'Joey', and a dent in the snare with chrome hardware that shines when the sun hits it. The cymbals show some wear, and a small bag with drumsticks is tucked under the ride. I left it by the museum steps, near the Birmingham Civil Rights District, hoping the owner sees this post.
FOUND: Sheet Music in Birmingham
I found this sheet music tonight along 3rd Avenue North outside the Lyric Theatre in Birmingham, around 9:15 PM. It was lying on the sidewalk, the cover creased and the pages fluttering in a late breeze, as if someone had dropped it after rehearsal. My nerves settled when I saw a familiar title and I tucked it under my arm, hoping the owner would recognize it and claim it back. I’ve kept it safe here and would love to see the musician get it back soon.
Found a silver trombone with some scratches in a small alley off Broad Street in Birmingham.
Yesterday evening, as I was walking through a small alley off Broad Street in Birmingham, I stumbled upon a silver trombone resting against a wall. It was in pretty good condition, though it did have a few scratches. It looked like it could belong to a student or someone in a community band. If you're missing it, please describe some specific details about the instrument, and I would be happy to return it to you!
