Lost dog near Court Street, Athens OH
I lost my dog, a beagle mix named Pico, around 8:15 PM on Tuesday near Court Street by Nelson Hall and the Athens Farmers Market. We had just finished a walk along College Green when a car horn startled him and he bolted toward the bike path behind Nelson Hall. He's tan with white patches and wears a red collar with a blue tag, and I can't stop thinking about him and hoping someone spotted him and kept him safe.

I was heading back to my dorm after a late class when I spotted a pair of dog leashes lying on the path behind Alden Library on West Green. It was around 6:40 p.m. on Saturday, and a mist hung in the trees and the campus cafe smelled of espresso. One leash was bright blue with a tiny paw print; the other was red and a little frayed from weather. I could almost hear the dog waiting at home, and my heart twinged with worry for its owner too. I picked them up and brought them to the campus lost-and-found desk, hoping the owner would see this soon.

It wears a light blue harness with a tiny silver bell that jingles when it moves, and it has a white blaze on its nose plus a small dark spot on the left ear. I found a cat this morning around 9:15am near the Acropolis Museum along Dionysiou Areopagitou Street. It's a medium-sized gray tabby with a white chest and white paws, and it wears a bright green collar with a tiny silver bell that jingles when he moves. There's a small notch in his left ear and a heart-shaped white patch on his chest—pretty distinctive if you know him.
