Lost stamps near Pack Square, Asheville

I realized my stamp collection was missing after I left a little cafe near Pack Square Park around 7:15 pm last Tuesday. The envelope was a red, slightly worn album with a clear window, containing a mix of commemoratives from the 1930s and a few foreign issues. Losing them felt like losing a piece of my grandfather’s memory, because those stamps carried his stories. I’ve retraced steps along College Street and Biltmore Avenue, hoping a passerby found them and tucked them away somewhere safe.
