Lost: Collars near Presque Isle Park, Marquette

Last Friday around 6:15 PM, I was finishing a sunset walk along the Lake Superior shoreline in Presque Isle Park, Marquette, when my dog's two collars slipped from the pocket of my jacket and vanished into the dim evening. They are a red nylon collar and a reflective black one. I retraced the path along the overlook and the lakeside trail, calling my dog's name, but the trail ended in the pine trees. If anyone picked them up, they mean a lot to my dog, and I would be grateful to have them back.

Lost: USB drives in Upper Peninsula

LOST: I was leaving the NMU library near the Superior Dome around 9:15 p.m. Friday when I realized my USB drives were missing from my backpack. They’re small, one black with a red cap and a second silver with a pine-tree sticker. The drives contain important class notes and photos from a trip to Pictured Rocks, but more than that, they hold irreplaceable research notes from last semester. I retraced my steps around the Marquette waterfront and along Lake Superior, but I didn’t see them. If you found them, please respond through the site so I can get them back.

Lost pins in Upper Peninsula near Marquette Harbor Light

I was out for a weekend hike along the Lake Superior shoreline in the Upper Peninsula when my enamel pins slipped from a backpack pocket. It was 3:15 p.m. on Saturday, near the Marquette Harbor Light, where the breeze gusts off the harbor and the waves break softly on the rocks. I wore a few bright pins from past trips, blue and red, tiny enough to vanish in a gust of wind, and I must have brushed against a railing or started down a path that led away from the bench. I felt a sting of loss—these pins felt like a scrapbook of my travels. I’ve been scouring the waterfront and downtown Marquette, hoping someone turned them in at a shop or post office.

Black Anker PowerCore 20K power bank

I lost my black Anker PowerCore 20,000mAh power bank yesterday around 3pm near the Peter White Public Library on Front Street in Marquette, Upper Peninsula. It’s a matte black aluminum block with a bright red silicone bumper, and there’s a tiny scratch along the top edge plus a white compass sticker on the back. It was in a small gray fabric sleeve with a short USB-C cable sticking out. I rely on it for hiking and long days out—the phone dies fast in the boonies, and I really need it back. If anyone finds it, I’d be grateful to get it turned in at the downtown Lost & Found.

Hand-painted hummingbird ceramic sculpture

I lost my hand-painted ceramic hummingbird sculpture yesterday around 3pm near the Ore Dock Park on Front Street in Marquette, Upper Peninsula. It’s a small piece, about 6 inches tall, with a glossy cobalt-blue glaze and a tiny gold beak. There’s a fine crack along the wing and a speckled pattern on the chest that make it easy to identify. It was a gift from my grandmother and means a lot to me, so I really need it back. If you’ve seen it or picked it up, send me a note here and I’ll arrange a meetup to pick it up.

Calico guinea pig with white blaze lost near Presque Isle

I lost my calico guinea pig yesterday around 6pm near Presque Isle Park in Marquette. She's about the size of a softball, with tan and white fur and a distinctive white blaze on her nose. She doesn't wear a collar, but you can spot her by a tiny pink ear and a small freckle on her left hind leg. We adopted her last year after our family dog passed, so she means a lot to us and there's a lot riding on getting her back. If anyone found her, I’d really appreciate it—please drop a message in the app so we can arrange a meetup near the park's east entrance.
