Lost pet — how to find them fast

A fast, practical plan for finding a lost pet, plus the shelters and microchip registries to contact.

When a pet goes missing in Twin Falls, speed and visibility are everything. Most lost pets are found close to home within the first day.

  1. Search the immediate area. Check nearby gardens, sheds, and quiet spots. Bring treats and a familiar item, and call calmly.
  2. Alert the microchip registry. Flag your pet as missing with the microchip database so your details are current if they're scanned.
  3. Call local shelters and vets. Phone shelters, pounds, and veterinary practices around Twin Falls and ask them to note your pet's description.
  4. Post online and on lost-pet databases. Share clear photos in local community groups and lost-pet services.
  5. Put up visible notices. A simple poster with a photo, the area, and a contact number still works.
  6. Post a listing. Add a lost-pet listing for Twin Falls so found-pet reports nearby surface alongside yours.

Lost leopard gecko with orange spots

I lost my leopard gecko yesterday evening around 8pm. It's a small gecko, about 4 inches from nose to tail, with a pale yellow body and irregular orange-brown spots along the back. It also has a slight tail kink and a faint blue pinstripe running just above the midline. Last seen near the Walmart on Blue Lakes Blvd East in Twin Falls, around the garden center entrance by the bus stop. It can hide in rock crevices or inside plant pots, so it might be tucked away in a shady spot. This little guy means a lot to me—it's been a part of my life for nearly two years and has sentimental value. If anyone found him, please reach out. I really need him back.

Orange tabby with white paws, lost in Twin Falls

I lost my orange tabby cat Milo yesterday around 6pm. He’s medium-sized, short-haired, with a white chest and white paws, plus a distinctive black spot on his nose. He wears a blue collar with a small silver bell and one ear has a tiny notch. Last seen around the College of Southern Idaho campus on Falls Avenue, near the library and the CSI bus stop. This cat means a lot to us—my son is really upset and we’d love to have Milo back home if anyone spotted him or brought him in.
