Lost something on public transport?

How to track down an item left on a bus, train, tram, or taxi by contacting the right transport operator.

Items left on buses, trains, trams, and taxis around Tri-Cities are usually handed in to the operator's lost property team — the trick is contacting the right one quickly.

  1. Identify the operator. Note the route, line, or company and the rough time. Each operator runs its own lost property process.
  2. Submit a lost property report. Use the operator's online form or phone line as soon as possible; recovered items are logged against your description.
  3. For taxis and rideshare, contact the driver or company directly through your booking or app receipt.
  4. Keep your reference. Save any report number so you can chase it up.
  5. Post a listing. Add a listing for Tri-Cities in case a fellow passenger picked it up.

Black Ray-Ban glasses with silver hinges

I lost my black rectangular Ray-Ban glasses with silver hinges yesterday around 3pm near the Columbia Center Mall in Kennewick, in the Tri-Cities area. They’re matte-black frames, standard fit, with a tiny chip on the left temple near the hinge and a faint laser-etched star on the inside of the right temple. I kept them in a black soft pouch with a red interior, which I think I left behind in the food court area. They were a gift from my sister last year, so they mean a lot to me. I really need them back—I can't see well without them at work, and losing them has been stressful.

Blue passport in black sleeve, lost yesterday

I lost my blue passport yesterday around 3pm near the Starbucks at Columbia Center Mall in Kennewick. It's in a black fabric sleeve, with a small cherry-blossom sticker on the back and a tiny coffee stain on the inside cover. The passport itself is the standard blue cover, and I really need it back because it's my only travel document for now. If anyone found it, please message me; I can meet in the Tri-Cities area to pick it up, since we were planning a big trip soon and I can't replace it quickly.

White campus ID card with photo on blue lanyard

I lost my white campus ID card yesterday around 3pm near the Starbucks on Clearwater Ave in Kennewick, in the Tri-Cities. It's a standard plastic card, about the size of a credit card, with my photo on the front and a blue lanyard attached. On the back there's a coffee stain near the barcode and a tiny robotics club sticker I stuck there last fall. It’s really important to me because it unlocks building access and ties into my shift schedule, so I’d be grateful to get it back if anyone spotted it.

Bright orange EpiPen in protective case

I lost my bright orange EpiPen yesterday around 4:15pm in the parking lot behind the Walmart on West Canal Drive in the Tri-Cities. It’s inside a small blue protective case with a lime-green zipper. The EpiPen cap has a tiny dent and the white label is a bit worn from daily use. This item is lifesaving for me, and I’m really hoping someone picked it up and can return it. If you found it, please drop me a message through the app so we can arrange a safe handoff—thanks for helping out.

Silver charm bracelet, lost near Tri-Cities mall

I’m hoping someone who picked up my silver charm bracelet yesterday around 3pm can reach out. It’s a slender 7-inch sterling silver bracelet with a tiny compass charm and a small initial A engraved on the clasp; the clasp is stamped 925. I wore it almost every day, and it’s a gift from my mom—it really has sentimental value. I last saw it near the entrance by the food court at Columbia Center Mall in Kennewick, Tri-Cities. If you found it on the floor near the seating area, I’d be really grateful to get it back; I’m hoping to have it back today.

Gold pendant necklace with moon charm

I lost my gold pendant necklace yesterday around 3pm near the Columbia Point Marina Park in Richland after grabbing a coffee at the café there. It's a slender 14k gold chain, about 18 inches, with a tiny round moon pendant that catches the light. The back of the pendant has the initials 'LM' engraved, and there's a small scratch on the front from daily wear. It means a lot to me—it's a gift from my grandmother and carries a lot of sentimental value. If anyone found it, I’d really appreciate knowing where it is so I can pick it up nearby.
