I was walking around downtown Tallahassee today when I spotted a pair of scarves on a bench near Cascades Park. It was around 1:15 p.m., right by the amphitheater entrance, and I held onto them for a bit to make sure there wasn't someone nearby looking for them. One scarf is gray with a fringe; the other is a bright turquoise. They looked like they'd fallen out of someone's bag, and I hoped to help reunite them with their owner. Found pins near Capitol steps, Tallahassee

Yesterday evening, around 6:25 PM, I found a small tin with several pins on the sidewalk outside the Florida State Capitol in Tallahassee. The designs range from a tiny state seal to a bright enamel watermelon, with a couple of vintage lapel pins tucked in at the bottom. No one else was around, so I slipped the tin into my pocket and looked for an owner, but the square around the Capitol stayed quiet. I figured someone would be missing it and decided to post here to help reunite them. It felt surprisingly good to do something small but right.

Found saxophones near Cascades Park, Tallahassee

Last Thursday around 2:15 p.m., I found two saxophones in a sturdy hard case behind a bench near Cascades Park by the Florida State University campus. They looked well taken care of, with engravings and stickers from a local band program, so I figured they weren’t mine. I asked a couple of pedestrians if anyone was looking for them, but no one claimed them, and I kept them safe in my car until I could post here. It felt strange and a little heavy to hold someone else’s gear, but I’m glad to help get them back to their owner.

FOUND Canines in Tallahassee, Florida, United States

I found two canines wandering near Cascades Park in Tallahassee, Florida, around 7:10 pm on Saturday. One wore a blue collar and the other a red one, and they stayed close together as if they were waiting for someone. I kept them nearby near the Capitol Complex until help arrived, hoping the owners would see this and claim them safely. It was heart-wrenching to see them startled, but I’m relieved they’re still together.

Found black Ray-Ban Wayfarers with blue temples

I found a pair of glasses this afternoon around 2:15pm in the parking lot behind the Publix on Blairstone Road in Tallahassee. They’re black acetate Ray-Ban Wayfarers with bright blue temple tips, in decent condition but with a small scuff on the left temple. Inside the right temple, there’s an engraving that reads 'AK'—nice little clue. The glasses come with a soft black pouch but no hard case. If you know someone who’s missing a pair, I’d love to help get them back.

I found this grey canvas tote bag (Miscellaneous Bags category) this afternoon around 3:15 pm in the parking lot behind the Trader Joe's on West Tennessee Street in Tallahassee. It's a medium-sized bag, about 12 by 14 inches, with a bright pink tassel on the zipper and a tiny rainbow sticker on the inner pocket. There’s a leather patch on the outside with the initials MK.
