Lost stamp collection binder near Susanville Post Office
Hi, I'm Maya Thompson. I was out on Friday around 6:15 p.m. on Main Street near the Susanville Railroad Depot when I realized a small leather binder was missing from my bag. It holds a handful of stamps from my grandfather's collection, plus a few rare commemoratives from the 1950s. The binder is about 4 by 6 inches with a brass clasp and a faded brown finish. I retraced my steps along Main Street, checked the benches by the post office, and asked at the corner market, but nothing turned up. I felt that sinking, helpless pang when I realized it was gone. It’s sentimental to me, and I’m hoping someone might have found it and turned it in somewhere nearby.
Lost paintings outside Susanville Library, Weatherlow St
On Saturday around 5:30 PM, I headed to the Susanville Library on Weatherlow Street to pick up a few supplies before heading home, and when I got back to my truck, my paintings were gone from the back seat. They’re in three frames, two landscapes and one abstract, rolled in a blue canvas tube with a brown leather strap. The works mean everything to me; they represent a lot of late-night studio sessions and the little confidence boost I needed after a rough week. If you found them outside the Susanville Library on Weatherlow Street, I’d be grateful if you could hand them in to the lost-and-found.
Blue Ty Beanie Boo dragon plush
I lost my blue Ty Beanie Boo dragon plush yesterday around 3:30pm near the Safeway on Main Street in downtown Susanville. The toy is about 8 inches tall, with soft royal-blue fur, a light blue belly, and shiny silver wings stitched on. There’s a tiny red heart stitched on the right paw and a small scuff on the left ear from lots of hugs. It’s in pretty good shape overall. It’s sentimental to my kiddo — it was a gift from grandma and helps us calm down at bedtime. If anyone finds it, please text me; we’d really appreciate getting it back for storytime tonight.
Orange Spalding basketball, size 7, JP initials
Yesterday around 3pm I lost my orange Spalding basketball, size 7, near the Safeway on Main Street in Susanville, in the outdoor courts behind the parking lot. It’s a well-worn ball with a couple of scuffs and a dent on the left panel. On the rim there’s a small black marker with my initials 'JP' in white paint. This ball was a gift from my high school basketball coach and it really means a lot to me; I use it for weekend pickup games and I’d be grateful to have it back before this weekend.
Lost purple stuffed unicorn with a soft body and glittery horn near the swing set at the park in Susanville.
I lost my daughter’s favorite purple stuffed unicorn while we were playing at the park in Susanville. She had it during our picnic and I last saw it near the swing set. It has a soft body and a little glittery horn. We’re really hoping to find it, as it means a lot to her.
