I had them tucked inside a brown leather wallet along with a visa packet and a small family photo. I must have left the wallet on a chair near the entrance while I checked my luggage. The wallet is a worn burgundy leather, and the passports inside are visible from the wallet's clear window. This trip is crucial for my work, and I’m terrified at the thought of a delay. Lost radios from my workshop bag near downtown Springfield.

I’d been tinkering with a couple of old handheld radios and an antique weather radio, the casings scuffed from years in a wooden workbench. The bright orange dial on one of them is hard to miss, and the other has a dent on the corner that you can feel when you hold it. They’re small but meaningful to me; those devices kept me company during long shifts at the garage and reminded me of old projects.
