I was wandering around Juneau’s downtown on a drizzly afternoon when I realized I’d left a small stack of postcards in my daypack on the way to the Alaska State Museum. It was around 2:20 PM last Friday when I must have set them down near the museum while I browsed souvenir stalls. The cards feature memories from a summer cruise along the Lynn Canal and have notes on the backs from friends. Losing them feels like dropping a piece of home into the mist.
