Lost something on public transport?

How to track down an item left on a bus, train, tram, or taxi by contacting the right transport operator.

Items left on buses, trains, trams, and taxis around Shreveport are usually handed in to the operator's lost property team — the trick is contacting the right one quickly.

  1. Identify the operator. Note the route, line, or company and the rough time. Each operator runs its own lost property process.
  2. Submit a lost property report. Use the operator's online form or phone line as soon as possible; recovered items are logged against your description.
  3. For taxis and rideshare, contact the driver or company directly through your booking or app receipt.
  4. Keep your reference. Save any report number so you can chase it up.
  5. Post a listing. Add a listing for Shreveport in case a fellow passenger picked it up.

Lost photographs near Red River District, Shreveport.

Last Friday, around 5:42 PM, I was sorting photos in the living room of my Shreveport apartment when a small blue envelope slipped from my bag. They’re my family’s photographs, many from trips along the Red River and a few black-and-white portraits from the 1960s. I’d spread them out on the coffee table at Festival Plaza, near the Riverfront, and now I can’t stop thinking about where they could be. Those faces carry the stories of my mom and grandparents, and losing them feels like losing a piece of home. Please help me bring them back to the album where they belong.

Lost Coins in Shreveport, Louisiana

I was walking along the Shreveport Riverfront near Esplanade Street at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday, May 5, when a gust swept from my pocket and a handful of coins skittered across the concrete. I gathered most of them, but a copper penny and a small coin with my grandfather's WWII service dates are still missing. Those coins feel like a piece of family history I can’t replace. I hope they’re nearby, waiting to be found by someone who understands. If you found them, please send a note through the site so I can reunite them with their memories.

lost CDs near Shreveport Riverfront.

At about 6:15 PM yesterday, I realized my CDs were lost after a quick moment along the Shreveport Riverfront. I had them in a black slipcase tucked in my backpack, then stepped away to snap a photo by the river and lights came on. I retraced my steps along the benches and boardwalk, but the case wasn’t there. Those discs are a mix of indie rock and a few jazz standards with sentimental value from road trips with friends, and I’m hoping they’re somewhere safe with a kind passerby.

lost travel adapters in Shreveport, LA

I lost travel adapters in Shreveport, Louisiana, last Friday around 6:50 pm. I was wrapping up at the Sci-Port Discovery Center after an afternoon ride along the riverfront and set my backpack on a bench near the entrance. When I reached for them later, the adapters were gone and the rest of my charger cords were left in the bag. They’re fairly small, but they’re the ones I need to keep my GPS and phone charged on this road trip, so I’m hoping they turned up in the Louisiana Boardwalk area or nearby Riverfront trails. Any help would be appreciated.

Lost travel visas in Shreveport downtown

Last night at 8:45 PM, I realized my travel visas were missing from my coat pocket after leaving the Strand Theatre in downtown Shreveport. I’d just walked along Louisiana Avenue toward the riverfront, checking every fold in the pocket, but they vanished. The visas are a small red folder with my name and a passport photo, and without them my trip tomorrow feels impossible. If they’re found, I’m holding onto the hope that someone will return them to the Strand or the nearby streets of downtown Shreveport and help me breathe a little easier.

Lost radios near Clyde Fant Park, Shreveport

I lost two radios around 8:15 PM on Saturday while tidying up my living room in my apartment near Clyde Fant Park, downtown Shreveport. One is a large walnut cabinet radio from the 1950s; the other is a compact portable model with a crank handle. They belonged to my grandfather and carry a lot of stories—the crackle of the dial and the tune from a long-ago Friday night. I’ve checked behind the couch, under the bed, and the closet, but they’re nowhere. If you found them near the riverfront or tucked by the curtains, please let me know; they mean the world to me.
