I was walking along Main Street in downtown Sarasota at about 5:15 p.m., near the Bayfront Park bench, when a small pile of coins spilled onto the pavement. There were pennies, a couple of quarters, and a couple of foreign coins that looked worn from a busy day. It felt like a small moment of someone else’s routine left behind, and I paused, then gathered the coins and left them on the bench where someone might realize they’d been found.
