Lost something on public transport?

How to track down an item left on a bus, train, tram, or taxi by contacting the right transport operator.

Items left on buses, trains, trams, and taxis around Salina are usually handed in to the operator's lost property team — the trick is contacting the right one quickly.

  1. Identify the operator. Note the route, line, or company and the rough time. Each operator runs its own lost property process.
  2. Submit a lost property report. Use the operator's online form or phone line as soon as possible; recovered items are logged against your description.
  3. For taxis and rideshare, contact the driver or company directly through your booking or app receipt.
  4. Keep your reference. Save any report number so you can chase it up.
  5. Post a listing. Add a listing for Salina in case a fellow passenger picked it up.

Lost keyboards in downtown Salina

I was packing up after a gig outside the Salina Public Library around 9:40 PM last Thursday when I realized my two keyboards weren't in my bag. One is a compact 25-key MIDI controller in a red pouch; the other is a full-size 88-key keyboard in a blue case. I retraced Santa Fe Avenue toward the riverfront, calling out for them, but the streets were quiet. I’m worried about my rehearsal tomorrow and really hoping someone found them and turned them in.

Lost pins near Oak Park fountain, downtown Salina

On Saturday around 7:15 p.m., I was adjusting my scarf near the Oak Park fountain in downtown Salina when my pins spilled from my jacket pocket. They are small metal pins, a mix of silver and cobalt with a tiny baseball glove motif and a sunburst charm. I circled back along the path and looked between the benches, but I did not see them. My hands feel bare and I keep replaying the moment, wishing I had noticed sooner. If you found them resting on the park bench or tucked under the railing, please help me bring them back to where they belong.

Lost medication in Salina

I lost my prescription medication yesterday afternoon in Salina, around 4:30 p.m. I was walking from Oakdale Park toward the Smoky Hill Museum, and I must have set the bottle down on a bench near the library steps. Missing doses scare me, especially on hot days, so this has me anxious. If someone finds a small brown bottle with a green cap and a label I recognize, please let me know through the site so I can be reunited with it.

Lost organizers in Salina, KS

I was packing for a charity drive this morning when I realized my organizers were missing. I had them in the tote at the Salina Central Mall around 1:15 PM today, near the fountain by the food court. They’re a set of translucent pink organizers with a black zipper and a label that says 'Crafters Co.' The sound of the crowd at the mall, the glare from the glass skylight, and the echo of a vending machine all feel like a blur now. I feel a little foolish and worried—they hold all my small parts and notes. If anyone saw them by the fountain or near the escalator to the electronics stores, please tell me.

Silver flutes lost near Smoky Hill Museum

Hey, I’m Emily Carter. I lost my flutes after a small recital at Oakdale Park in Salina around 4:50 p.m. on Sunday. They’re two silver flutes in a black case, with a few stickers from my teacher on the lid. I had them set on a bench by the park bandstand while I grabbed a quick water, then turned to find them gone. I’m honestly unsettled because these flutes are my main instruments for lessons and gigs. If anyone found them, please hand them in to the park staff or the lost-and-found nearby. I’d really appreciate the help getting them back.

Lost rabbits near Oakdale Park, Salina

Yesterday at 4:30 PM I was leaving the grocery store and walking toward Oakdale Park when my two rabbits slipped from their carrier. They darted toward the tall grasses behind the softball fields near the lake, and I could not catch them. I have walked the park, checked around the playground, and asked a few joggers if they had seen a pair of little rabbits with brown patches. They mean the world to my kids, and their absence tonight is tearing us up. If anyone spotted them in Salina’s parks, please keep them safe until I can bring them home.
