I was strolling along Roseburg's Umpqua Riverfront Park, near 5th Street, around 5:30 p.m. on Saturday when I found two cats huddled together under a bench. One is a gray tabby with a red collar and a tiny bell; the other a calico with bright eyes. They seemed hungry and a bit wary, so I brought them into a safe, quiet spot nearby and kept watch until it got dark. They’re fed and comfortable now, and I hope their human sees this and recognizes them.
