I lost my 4/4 violin yesterday around 3pm near the Eastman Theatre on Gibbs Street in Rochester. It's a natural honey-brown spruce top with a maple back, ebony fittings, and a brass tailpiece; the chin rest is slightly worn. It was in a black nylon case with a faded zipper. Inside the lid there's a green velvet lining and a small faded sticker with the initials 'LJ' and the year '2017'—one clear identifying mark. The bow is not with it; the bow's wood is light and the grip has a blue thread wrapping I added last winter. This violin means a lot to me; I was preparing for auditions and it has sentimental value. If anyone found something matching this, please reach out—I really need it back.
