I was stepping off the Rapid City bus around 2:10 p.m. today when I spotted a small red pouch with a dozen enamel pins on a bench by Main Street Square, just behind the Journey Museum & Gardens. The pins look like a personal collection—one shows Mount Rushmore, another a local skate brand, and several travel motifs. I picked up the pouch and kept it safe, posting here in the hope the owner will recognize them and claim them. They’re probably important to someone, so I’m letting the site handle reunification from here.

It's a 6-in-1 hub, a bit scuffed around the edges, with a short gray USB-C cable still attached. The sticker reads 'Kite,' which should help identify it among other accessories. Found a blue 6x9 paperback this afternoon around 2:30 pm outside the Rapid City Public Library on 4th Street in Rapid City, West SD, near Mount Rushmore Road. The cover shows a simple night-sky design and the spine has faded white lettering; the pages are lightly dog-eared and there’s a coffee ring along the bottom edge. Inside, there’s a library stamp on the first page reading 'RCPL' and a small doodle of a coffee cup on page 97, plus a green sticky note tucked between pages. It looks well-loved, and I’d love to reunite it with its owner—happy to drop it at the library desk or meet nearby.

It's a rectangular piece about 48 inches long and 20 inches wide, with a warm teak finish and a clear glass inset that lets the grain shine. There’s a small nick on the front edge and a faint scratch along the underside of the glass rim, plus a tiny brass maker’s mark on the underside that reads 'D.J. Co.'
