I was walking along the Plattsburgh waterfront near the Champlain Centre Mall entrance in Plattsburgh-Adirondacks, New York, around 7:20 p.m. on Sunday when I spotted a plastic tote with holiday decorations tucked behind a bench near the Adirondack-styled street lamps. The bundle included a string of multicolor lights, a wreath, and a few ornaments still in their plastic wrap. It looked like someone had been decorating for the season and forgot to grab them on the way out. I gathered them and left a note here so the owner can find them. I hope they’re reunited with their decorations soon.

I found a framed watercolor landscape this afternoon around 2:15pm outside The Grateful Goat cafe on Market Street, Plattsburgh-Adirondacks. It's a 14x18 inch piece, a soft blue-green lakeside scene, in a slightly dented gold-leaf frame. The painting is signed in the lower-right corner 'A. Rivera 2023' and there's a tiny pencil compass drawing on the back, plus a faint coffee ring near the bottom edge. A local gallery tag is taped to the back, suggesting it was part of a recent show. It's roughly the size of a soda can, cylindrical, with a rugged fabric cover and a small dent along the top edge. A red JBL badge sits on the front, and a blue fabric strap is attached to the carry handle. There's a small sticker on the bottom with the initials 'A.R.' and a blue micro-USB cable tucked underneath.
