On Wednesday around 7:15 PM, after unloading decorations from the car, I discovered my holiday gear was missing near the Cordova Mall entrance in Pensacola. I retraced my steps through the parking lot by the Cheesecake Factory and around the mall’s north side, hoping to spot a bright red bow and a string of warm LEDs. The haul includes a garland, a pair of lit lawn stakes, and a vintage wreath—things that make our home feel festive during December. It’s hard not to feel shaken, and I’m hoping they surface soon.
