I was unwinding after a long gallery stroll when I realized my two paintings were missing. I left them by the entryway outside the Irvine Spectrum Center at 6:15 PM on Friday, tucked beside a rack of local postcards. One painting is a bright coastal scene with waves in blues and golds; the other shows a misty hillside painted in autumn tones.
