Lost something on public transport?

How to track down an item left on a bus, train, tram, or taxi by contacting the right transport operator.

Items left on buses, trains, trams, and taxis around Oklahoma City are usually handed in to the operator's lost property team — the trick is contacting the right one quickly.

  1. Identify the operator. Note the route, line, or company and the rough time. Each operator runs its own lost property process.
  2. Submit a lost property report. Use the operator's online form or phone line as soon as possible; recovered items are logged against your description.
  3. For taxis and rideshare, contact the driver or company directly through your booking or app receipt.
  4. Keep your reference. Save any report number so you can chase it up.
  5. Post a listing. Add a listing for Oklahoma City in case a fellow passenger picked it up.

Lost Sheet Music downtown OKC

I was in downtown Oklahoma City after a late rehearsal around 7:15 p.m. last Tuesday, and my folder slid from my bag. The Sheet Music is for a piece we’re preparing for a concert next month, with a blue cover and my initials in the corner. I remember the breeze along Bricktown Canal and the glow from the Myriad Gardens as I shuffled papers and stretched my back from fatigue. I think a page may have fallen near 4th Street or by the Civic Center Music Hall entrance. If you found Sheet Music, I’d be grateful to get it back.

Lost Pins near Bricktown, Oklahoma City

I lost my Pins around 6:15 PM last Friday by the Bricktown Canal in downtown Oklahoma City, near the water fountain that lights up at night. I had been chatting with a friend and checking a map when I noticed they were gone from my denim jacket. I retraced steps along the illuminated boardwalk, passing the food trucks and the neon signs, hoping a glint of metal would catch my eye. The closer I got to the trolley stop the more my stomach sank. Those pins aren’t just metal—they were my lucky keepsakes from family trips, and I miss them already.

Blue US passport with gold seal

I lost my blue US passport yesterday around 3pm. It was tucked inside a brown leather passport holder that’s a bit scuffed. The passport itself is the standard dark blue cover with the gold Great Seal and the letters ‘United States of America’ across the top. There’s a small coffee stain along the back cover and a tiny crease on the bottom-right corner from my bag. I last had it near the Devon Tower in downtown Oklahoma City, around the parking garage entrance on Sheridan Ave, close to the Bricktown Canal. This passport is essential for travel and I really need it back; it has sentimental value because it’s my link to a planned trip and I’d hate to cancel. If you happened to spot it, you can reach me at [email protected].

Green parakeet with yellow head, blue tail

I lost my small green parakeet yesterday around 3pm near the Bricktown Canal along Reno Ave between 1st and 2nd Streets in Oklahoma City. It's palm-sized with a bright yellow head, green body, and blue tail feathers, and it wears a blue leg band with the number 27. I can also see a faint white ring around its eyes. This bird is a gift from my mom and means a lot to me, so I’m really worried and would appreciate any sighting or leads.

Cockatiel with orange cheeks, blue leg band

I lost my cockatiel, Skipper, yesterday around 3pm near the Myriad Botanical Gardens' Water Plaza on Reno Avenue in downtown Oklahoma City. He’s gray with a bright yellow crest and orange cheek patches, about the size of a small parrot, and he has a blue leg band labeled 42 on his right leg. There’s also a tiny white patch on the left wing and a faint green tint to the tail feathers when he fans out. Skipper is super curious and loves crackers, but he can get nervous and fly off if a door or window is open. This bird means a lot to me—he was a gift from my sister—and I’d be heartbroken if he didn’t come back. If you see him, please email me at [email protected].
