Lost pocket watches in Northeast SD

Yesterday around 7:15 p.m., I realized my pocket watches were missing after stepping outside the Watertown Depot by the clock tower on Main Street. They are two small, vintage pieces -- one gold-trimmed and the other in a tarnished silver case -- kept inside a worn brown leather pouch. They belonged to my grandfather and carry decades of memories -- from Sunday fishing trips to birthdays long past. I would be grateful for their return to the depot or someone who recognizes them to reunite them with the family. If they turn up anywhere along Main Street or near the depot, I hope they are kept safe.

lost: Shirts

On a breezy Saturday around 2:15 p.m., I was helping unload for a community cleanup along Main Street in Watertown, Northeast SD, near the Codington County Courthouse. A gust knocked a bin and I realized my shirts were missing from the back of the cart. They’re plain cotton shirts in three colors, all worn for a family gathering this weekend, nothing loud or fancy. I’m frustrated and worried, but I’m holding onto hope that someone who finds them will bring them back through the site.

Lost pins in Northeast SD

Hi, I’m Claire Jensen. I lost a small set of enamel pins from my denim jacket. They’re sentimental: one is my grandmother’s birthday pin, the other a tiny compass I picked up on a road trip. It happened around 7:15 a.m. today as I was leaving the Aberdeen Civic Center parking lot, near Main Street NE and 1st Ave. I checked the lot and sidewalks, retraced toward the river walk and Knox Park, but they’re gone. I feel anxious and hopeful someone found them and will turn them in here; these pins mean a lot to me and I’d love to see them back in my coat.

Lost hats near Aberdeen, Northeast SD

Hi, I’m Lila Peterson. I lost several hats while leaving the bus on Main Street in Aberdeen, Northeast SD, around 7:20 p.m. yesterday. The wind whipped the street and they blew off my tote bag in the crosswalk near the library on 2nd Ave NE. They were special keepsakes from different trips, including one from a family reunion, and I’m really hoping someone picked them up and kept them safe. I retraced steps along Main Street, the library district, and the little shops near City Hall, but I’m still hopeful. If anyone found them, I would be grateful for their return.

Lost passports in Northeast SD, South Dakota

I realized my passport went missing Thursday morning around 9:15 a.m. after finishing a quick stop at Main Street Coffee in Aberdeen, in northeast SD. I last used it to check in at a visa appointment, then rushed to a meeting, and I must have left it on the counter or in a folder. The passport is blue with wear on the cover, and the photo page looks intact but the binding shows a crease from travel. This is urgent because I’m traveling soon, and replacements can be tricky to arrange. I’m hoping someone found it in downtown Aberdeen, perhaps near the Brown County Courthouse or along 4th Avenue. Please return it through the site; I’ll be grateful beyond words.

Lost sheet music from Aberdeen practice room.

Friday around 4:15 p.m., I was in Aberdeen, near the Brown County Courthouse and the Dakota Theatre on Main Street, when I left a folder on a chair in the Aberdeen High School band room. The folder holds my concert sheet music for the upcoming recital—Moonlight Sonata, scales, and a few pencil-marked reminders. The blue cover is frayed at the spine, and there's a coffee stain on the corner. I’ve been pacing between the rehearsal room and the downtown area, hoping someone picked it up and tucked it away somewhere safe. Losing these pieces feels personal because they’re tied to my senior recital and long hours of practice.
