I was wrapping up a client call and packing up my gear outside the Kingman Walmart on Andy Devine Ave in Mohave County, Arizona, around 6:10 p.m. last Friday when I realized my Work Cases were missing from my bag. They’re a black leather set with a dented corner and a stubborn zipper. Inside are project notes, a travel itinerary, and a USB drive labeled CONFIDENTIAL. I hurried back along Andy Devine and spoke to a couple of store employees, but nothing turned up. I’m anxious because those cases contain client documents and a timetable I can’t replace.
