Lost something on public transport?

How to track down an item left on a bus, train, tram, or taxi by contacting the right transport operator.

Items left on buses, trains, trams, and taxis around Modesto are usually handed in to the operator's lost property team — the trick is contacting the right one quickly.

  1. Identify the operator. Note the route, line, or company and the rough time. Each operator runs its own lost property process.
  2. Submit a lost property report. Use the operator's online form or phone line as soon as possible; recovered items are logged against your description.
  3. For taxis and rideshare, contact the driver or company directly through your booking or app receipt.
  4. Keep your reference. Save any report number so you can chase it up.
  5. Post a listing. Add a listing for Modesto in case a fellow passenger picked it up.

LOST: Pins near Graceada Park, Modesto

On Tuesday at 6:30 PM, I realized my enamel pins were gone from my red denim jacket while volunteering at Graceada Park in Modesto, California. The pins are small but meaningful, each one a memory from my grandmother's collection, with bright enamel colors and a tiny heart on the largest piece. I wore them for a community event, and I’ve retraced my steps from the pavilion to the picnic tables and the path by the fountain, but they’re nowhere to be found.

Lost action figures in Modesto

I’m Jordan Kim. I lost a handful of action figures this afternoon, around 3:15 PM, at Graceada Park in Modesto, California, United States. They’re from my childhood—some Marvel heroes with capes and a rare sci-fi figure with a translucent helmet. I left them on a bench by the playground near 9th Street and McHenry Avenue, and when I turned back they were gone. I’m hopeful someone picked them up or left them with the park staff; I’m anxious to get them back for my son.

Lost drones near Graceada Park, Modesto

I was out filming the sunset in Modesto around 7:45 p.m. last Tuesday when a gust whipped through Graceada Park and I must have dropped both of my drones. One is black with a red prop guard, the other white with a cracked camera lid. I searched the grassy bowl by the playground and along 9th Street, but the drones vanished into the dimming evening. I’m anxious because they held a lot of home video footage and a few quick shots of my kid learning to fly, and I hope they turn up soon.

Lost travel adapters in downtown Modesto

I was rushing to pack for an early trip when I realized my travel adapters were missing. I had them in a small gray pouch beside my blue jacket at Graceada Park around 6:15 p.m. last Friday, as the sun sank behind the elm trees. The spot I last sat was a wooden bench near the playground, with the fountain just a few steps away. Losing them means I can’t charge my devices on the road, which is rough when I’m juggling flights and trains. If someone happened to tuck them somewhere safe near Graceada Park, I’d be endlessly grateful.
