Lost something on public transport?

How to track down an item left on a bus, train, tram, or taxi by contacting the right transport operator.

Items left on buses, trains, trams, and taxis around Lubbock are usually handed in to the operator's lost property team — the trick is contacting the right one quickly.

  1. Identify the operator. Note the route, line, or company and the rough time. Each operator runs its own lost property process.
  2. Submit a lost property report. Use the operator's online form or phone line as soon as possible; recovered items are logged against your description.
  3. For taxis and rideshare, contact the driver or company directly through your booking or app receipt.
  4. Keep your reference. Save any report number so you can chase it up.
  5. Post a listing. Add a listing for Lubbock in case a fellow passenger picked it up.

Lost: Work Cases in Lubbock

I can’t believe I left behind my work cases after a quick meeting this afternoon. It was around 2:15 p.m. on Tuesday outside the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center, along the sidewalk near 19th Street, when I realized they weren’t in my bag anymore. The cases are black leather with a few scuffed corners, and inside are my important documents and a charger I need for a client call tomorrow. I’m kicking myself for how sloppy I was, and I’m hoping someone picked them up and kept them safe. If you saw them around that area, please think back to the moment and tell me.

Lost bus tickets in Lubbock.

I realized I'd lost my bus tickets sometime around 11:00 AM on Sunday while walking from the Tech campus toward the downtown transit hub in Lubbock. They were in a small blue folder with a red cover, the kind I keep for travel receipts, and my name was scrawled on the top tab. I remember stopping at a crosswalk by the Buddy Holly Center and then hurrying on, but I must've dropped them on a bench along 19th Street. I retraced my steps and asked around, but no luck so far. If they turn up, they're probably somewhere near the Buddy Holly Center's north entrance.

LOST Utensils — Lubbock, Texas, United States

This morning around 9:15 a.m., I realized my Utensils were missing after I set them down on the kitchen counter before leaving for a quick errand in Lubbock. I think I left them somewhere between the TTU Student Union Building and the campus quad. The set is small but priceless to me because they belong to my grandmother and are used for our weekend family meals. If someone found them, please know how much they would mean to me and consider returning them through the site.

Lost radios in Lubbock near the Buddy Holly Center

I realized around 6:45 p.m. yesterday that my radios were missing from the back seat of my pickup after I stopped for coffee near the Buddy Holly Center in downtown Lubbock. I had left them there while ducking into a bookstore on 19th Street, and when I came back, the seat was empty. Those radios aren’t flashy, but they’re reliable and they carry a bit of history—they’ve seen long drives across West Texas. If someone happened to find them and kept them safe, I’d be over the moon to see them again.

Lost Wrist Watches in Lubbock, Texas

I slipped my wristwatch off to wash my hands at the Canyon West Shopping Center around 7:20 pm on Friday, and I must have dropped it somewhere between the deli and the movie theater. It’s a silver face with a worn brown leather strap, a token from my grandmother I’ve worn every day for years. I retraced my steps past the food trucks and the arcade, but the crowd blurred into nothing and I came up empty. If by some chance it’s sitting under a bench or kicked near a planter, I’d be grateful to see it again back on my wrist, where it belongs.

Lost wall art near Buddy Holly Center

I lost my wall art hanging by the Buddy Holly Center on 19th Street at about 11:15 PM on a Tuesday after a long evening of painting. When I got back, the nail was bare and the canvas was gone. The piece is a 24x36 abstract landscape, bold strokes of fiery orange and teal against a charcoal background, set in a plain black frame. I’m hoping someone might have tucked it aside for safekeeping or mistaken it for a stray. I picture it in the Depot District, propped against a doorway or leaning behind a coffee shop chair. If you’ve seen it, please help me bring it back to the building it came from. I’m keeping faith.
