What to do when you find someone else's property — your responsibilities and how to return it safely.

Found keyboard on Bold Street, Liverpool.

I found a keyboard this morning around 10:20 am, lying by the bus stop on Bold Street near the Bold Street Café. It’s a black 61-key portable keyboard, with a couple of sticky notes on the lid and a frayed power cord tucked inside the case. I picked it up and carried it with me, thinking someone might be missing it after a gig at the Philharmonic Hall last night. The back has a bright sticker reading 'For Practice' and there’s a worn strap hook that might help identify the owner. I hope the person who owns it sees this and gets it back.

I found a hand-carved oak plant stand this morning around 10:30am outside the Liverpool ONE entrance on Paradise Street. It's about 18 inches tall, with two open shelves and a brass trim along the edges. The wood has a warm honey color, with a small dent on the top shelf and a faint coffee stain on the bottom shelf. On the bottom, there’s a tiny initials carving, 'EM', which is a unique detail. Picked it up from the pavement after a quick run to grab a coffee.
