What to do when you find someone else's property — your responsibilities and how to return it safely.

I found a small black Bluetooth speaker this afternoon around 3:15 pm on the sidewalk behind the Findlay Village Mall, near the Regal Cinemas entrance off Tiffin Avenue. It's about the size of a soda can, with a red fabric grille and a slightly dented corner. The brand logo on the front looks like JBL, and there’s a tiny sticker on the bottom that reads 'LHX-7'. It seemed to power on when I pressed the button, so I didn’t move it far from where I found it. If someone recognizes these details, I’ll be glad to get it back to its owner.

Found a blue reflective dog collar this morning around 9am in the parking lot behind the Findlay Village Mall on Tiffin Ave. It’s a medium nylon collar with a bright white reflective stripe and a small green enamel paw-tag engraved with the initials LJ. The collar is a bit dusty from the lot but otherwise in good shape, no fraying. I figured someone might be missing their pup, so I’m hoping to reunite it with its owner. Found Dell XPS 13 laptop near Lima Mall

I found a silver Dell XPS 13 laptop this afternoon around 2:30pm behind the Lima Mall on Elida Road, tucked between the curb and the loading dock by the Hobby Lobby entrance. It’s in decent shape, aluminum body with a black keyboard, and there are a couple of light scratches on the lid. There’s a blue compass sticker on the lid and a small white bear sticker along the bottom edge—two quick identifiers if someone is missing it. Navy Levi's denim jacket with fox patch

I found a navy Levi's denim jacket this morning around 9:15am near the Findlay Public Library on West Main Cross St. It's a men's size M, in decent shape with a small coffee stain on the cuff. On the left chest pocket there's a tiny fox embroidery, and inside the pocket there's a leather patch stamped with the initials RP. I grabbed it to keep it from getting lost and figured someone missing it would want it back sooner rather than later. Found glucometer kit with blue sleeve

I found a white glucometer kit this afternoon around 4pm in the CVS parking lot on Tiffin Avenue, Findlay. It's a small rectangular device with a blue silicone sleeve, and there's a noticeable dent in the upper corner of the white case. Inside, there are five test strips and a slim lancet wrapper, and the sleeve has a sticker with the initials 'JJ'.
