Two-tone ring with blue stone found

I found this ring this morning around 9:15am, near the plaza at Main Street and Picacho Avenue in Las Cruces. It's a two-tone gold ring with a small blue sapphire set in a square bezel, and it feels like it’s size about a 7 with a few light scratches from daily wear. Inside the band there’s a tiny engraving 'JL' and the ring looks unbranded. It seems like it could be sentimental to someone, and I’d really like to help get it back to its owner—if you recognize this piece, please drop me a message.
