Lost something on public transport?

How to track down an item left on a bus, train, tram, or taxi by contacting the right transport operator.

  1. Identify the operator. Note the route, line, or company and the rough time. Each operator runs its own lost property process.
  2. Submit a lost property report. Use the operator's online form or phone line as soon as possible; recovered items are logged against your description.
  3. For taxis and rideshare, contact the driver or company directly through your booking or app receipt.
  4. Keep your reference. Save any report number so you can chase it up.
  5. Post a listing. Add a listing for Lancaster in case a fellow passenger picked it up.

Lost sports equipment bag in Lancaster

I’m Jordan Hayes. I lost a bag containing equipment for various sports after a late practice at Lancaster City High School gym. The items include basketball shoes, knee braces, a couple of lacrosse sticks, and a dusty baseball glove. It happened around 7:00 PM on Tuesday, near the West Chestnut Street entrance to the gym, after we were headed to the bus. I retraced steps through the hallway and outside, but I couldn't find it. Those items matter a lot to me and my routine; I’d be grateful to have them back. If you’ve found anything matching this description, please pass it along through the site.

Lost travel visas near Lancaster Central Market, Lancaster

I realized I left my travel visas in a brown leather folder at the Lancaster Central Market around 9:30 a.m. last Saturday. The folder held my passport copies and visa paperwork, plus a few appointment letters. I’ve retraced the market aisles, the coffee counter, and the bus stop along North Queen Street, but they’re nowhere to be found. Those documents are crucial for an upcoming trip, and I’m trying not to panic.

Lost black leather belts near Fulton Theatre

Hi, I’m Emily Carter. I lost a black leather belt with a small brass buckle this evening, around 7:45 PM, near the Fulton Theatre on West King Street in downtown Lancaster, Pennsylvania. I paused for a quick coffee outside a café along Duke Street after the performance and must have set it down on a chair. By the time I returned, the belt was gone amid the crowd near the Central Market area. It’s an everyday piece that holds up my uniform belt, and I’m anxious about facing work without it tomorrow; please keep an eye out if you’re in that area.

Lost rabbits by Lancaster Central Market, Lancaster

I am missing two rabbits, last seen Saturday around 3:40 p.m. outside Lancaster Central Market on East King Street. They are a gray dwarf and a fluffy white Angora, and they were in a blue carrier with a red handle when I last saw them. They are gentle, curious creatures that mean the world to me, especially after a long week, and I am worried they wandered off together. I checked the surrounding stalls and the market steps, but the area was busy and noisy. If you happened to see them or picked them up, please help me reunite with my furry friends.

Leopard gecko, small, sandy with brown spots

I lost my leopard gecko yesterday around 3pm. It’s about 4 inches long with a sandy-yellow body and irregular brown spots, and bright orange eyes. It usually sits in a clear plastic terrarium, but I last saw it near the Lancaster Central Market on King Street, by the market entrance. It has a tiny white speck on the base of its tail and a small kink near the tail tip from a past tumble. My daughter adores that little lizard, and it would mean the world to get it back. If you spot it, email me at [email protected].
