How to track down an item left on a bus, train, tram, or taxi by contacting the right transport operator.

  2. Submit a lost property report. Use the operator's online form or phone line as soon as possible; recovered items are logged against your description.
  3. For taxis and rideshare, contact the driver or company directly through your booking or app receipt.

Lost Lamps in La Crosse

LOST: Yesterday around 6:15 PM I was unloading boxes at my La Crosse apartment and must have left these lamps on the hallway table when I rushed out toward Riverside Park. The lamps are tall with brass bases and warm cream shades. I last walked east on 3rd Street, looping toward the Pump House by the Mississippi River, hoping to catch the sunset. They’re simple, but they brighten up my living room and I miss them already.

Lost Student ID near Riverside Park, La Crosse

I realized around 7:45 PM that my student ID was missing after a late class. I had been walking from the UW–La Crosse campus toward Riverside Park along the riverfront when I noticed the card wasn’t in my pocket. The ID is blue, laminated, with my photo and the university crest, attached to a purple lanyard. I retraced steps along Main Street, past the river’s edge, and toward the Grandad Bluff overlook, stopping to ask a few passersby if they’d seen it. The thought of replacing it or losing campus access is unsettling, but I’m hopeful a good samaritan turned it in at the Lost and Found. If you’ve seen it, please return it through the site.”

Lost: Toasters near La Crosse Center

I lost my two toasters on Saturday around 1:10 pm by the La Crosse Center area along 2nd Street and Riverside Park. I had just finished a bake sale and must have left them on the curb while I loaded supplies into my car. They’re a basic two-slice pair: one black with a silver dial, one white with a dent in the side. I’ve walked the riverwalk and checked the parking lots along 2nd Street, but no luck. The kitchen at my apartment feels incomplete without them, and I’m hoping someone found them and kept them safe. If this sounds like yours, please confirm through the site.

Lost two parrots in La Crosse near Riverside Park

LOST: Yesterday around 7:45 p.m., I realized my two parrots had slipped away from their perch near Riverside Park along the Mississippi in La Crosse. One is a blue-lored parrot with a yellow belly; the other is a bright green bird with a red tail. We were walking the riverfront path by Grandad Bluff when a gust rattled the trees and they darted into the pines above the trail. I'm anxious and heartbroken, missing their chatter and their bright colors against the dusk. If you spot two parrots together in the Riverside Park area, please keep an eye out and let the website know.

Lost scarf near Riverside Park, La Crosse, WI.

I'm Mia Carter. I lost a soft gray wool scarf with a navy fringe. I last had it around 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday, walking the Mississippi River path by Riverside Park, near the 4th Street/Main Street entrance. The scarf was tucked into my coat, and I didn't notice it was missing until I reached the overlook. It was a gift from my grandmother, and I've worn it every chilly evening since fall; losing it feels like losing a piece of her. Please keep an eye out near the benches along the riverbank; I'd be grateful to recover it through the site.
