While walking home from the downtown market around 7:45 p.m. on Sunday, I spotted two guitars lying by the Kokomo Courthouse steps on Market Street. One is a sunburst acoustic with a slightly worn pickguard, the other a black electric with a chipped edge near the strap button. They looked like someone had set them down and forgotten them, so I picked them up and brought them here, hoping the owner sees this. I’m keeping them safe for now and would be relieved to see them go home to a musician who loves them as much as I do.

Found Holiday Decorations near courthouse, Kokomo

While walking my dog near the Howard County Courthouse in downtown Kokomo around 9:15 this morning, I found a box of holiday decorations tucked behind a bench by the planter. The bundle includes strings of twinkling lights, a garland, and a ceramic angel with gold trim. It hit me how special these must be to someone who was getting ready to decorate for the season, and I felt a little tug of sympathy for the unknown owner. The harness looks clean and recently worn, not torn, so I figured it belongs to someone in Kokomo who’s probably frantically searching. I found a grey tabby this morning around 9:15am in the parking lot behind the Kokomo-Howard County Public Library on West Superior Street. It's a medium-sized, short-haired cat wearing a bright blue collar with a small bell that jingles as he moves. He has a distinct white chest patch shaped like a heart and a tiny scar above his left eye. He seemed calm and friendly, but I didn't want to stress him out, so I kept him close until he followed me to the edge of the lot. I found a blue canvas tool bag in the parking lot behind the Walmart on 25th Street in Kokomo this afternoon around 3:15pm. It's a heavy-duty bag with a bright yellow zipper pull and a DeWalt cordless drill peeking out of the top, plus a red-handled screwdriver and a small bit set tucked inside. There’s a faded sticker on the outside front pocket that reads 'Property of J. Miller,' and I notice a torn label with initials on the side. The bag shows some wear—scuffed corners and a little oil stain on the bottom—so I figured someone might be missing it after a quick work trip.
