Blue hardcover mystery novel found near KC library

I found a blue hardcover mystery novel this afternoon around 3:15 pm outside the Kansas City Public Library, Central Library, on 14 W 10th St in Kansas City, MO. It's about 320 pages, with a red ribbon bookmark tucked at chapter 7 and a yellow sticky note inside the cover that says 'For Sam'. The spine is a bit creased from use, clearly a well-loved book. I know someone will be missing this, and I'd love to help reunite it with its owner; it clearly belongs in the Books & Magazines section.
