Description
I lost two dog leashes on Tuesday at 5:40 p.m. near the Grand Lake Trailhead in the High Rockies. I had just clipped my dogs to the hitching post when I realized the leashes were missing, and I felt a jolt of worry for their safety. The sun turned gold on the pines as a cold breeze swept down from the peaks. I searched the gravel lot behind the Grand Lake General Store, calling their names and scanning every shadow, but they did not reappear. One leash is bright red with a neon-yellow grip, the other navy with a silver clasp.
