Lost something on public transport?

How to track down an item left on a bus, train, tram, or taxi by contacting the right transport operator.

Items left on buses, trains, trams, and taxis around Great Falls are usually handed in to the operator's lost property team — the trick is contacting the right one quickly.

  1. Identify the operator. Note the route, line, or company and the rough time. Each operator runs its own lost property process.
  2. Submit a lost property report. Use the operator's online form or phone line as soon as possible; recovered items are logged against your description.
  3. For taxis and rideshare, contact the driver or company directly through your booking or app receipt.
  4. Keep your reference. Save any report number so you can chase it up.
  5. Post a listing. Add a listing for Great Falls in case a fellow passenger picked it up.

Lost drums after rehearsal near Great Falls Civic Center

Just last night, around 9:45 p.m., I realized my drums weren't where I left them after a late rehearsal outside the Great Falls Civic Center. I had parked by the studio on 5th Avenue North and stepped out to grab a quick water; that's when I noticed the kit was gone. The set is a pearl-white bass drum, black toms, and a dented cymbal, with my sturdy sticks tucked in the case. It feels like losing a friend and a big part of our practice routine, and I am hoping someone picked them up nearby.

Lost swimsuits in Great Falls

On Sunday around 2:45 pm, I was at Heritage Park along the Missouri River in Great Falls, taking a dip at the public pool. I set my bright blue swimsuits on a bench to grab sunscreen, and when I turned back ten minutes later they were gone. They’re the only suits that fit me this season, and the colors always pop on the water. I’ve retraced the path along the grassy area and asked a few families, but nothing. I miss them already; they’re more than fabric, they’re a reminder of a sunny day with friends. If you found them, they’re probably still damp and waiting for a home.

Lost studs in Great Falls, MT

I am Grace Bennett, and I am posting because I cannot stop thinking about a pair of small silver studs with a tiny sapphire. I wore them to lunch yesterday, and around 5:15 PM I realized they had slipped from my ears. I was walking the River Edge Trail overlook at Giant Springs State Park in Great Falls, heading back toward the parking lot near the entrance when I felt them come loose. They are not valuable, but they are my grandmother's, and they carry a lot of memory. If you found them, please know how much they mean to me and bring them back to the site so I can finally breathe a little easier.

Lost Clutches in Great Falls, MT near Giant Springs

I was strolling along 10th Avenue South near Giant Springs State Park this afternoon around 4:00 PM when my clutches slipped from my bag and disappeared on a bench outside the Great Falls Market. They are two small black leather clutches with gold zippers, and one has a faded red scarf tucked inside. I carry important papers and a small jewelry piece that would mean a lot to me, and the loss has me feeling unsettled as I watch the river roll by. If you found them resting near the park entrance or along the path by the Missouri River overlook, I’d be grateful to be reunited with them.

Lost sheets near Riverside Park, Great Falls

Hi, I’m Grace Larson. I lost a set of white sheets with a pale blue stripe somewhere in Great Falls, probably Tuesday evening around 6:45 PM. I’d just finished folding laundry and was walking past Riverside Park toward the Civic Center when I realized they weren’t in my tote. Those sheets have kept me warm on camping trips and chilly nights in our apartment, so I’m hoping they turn up soon. If you saw a light-colored sheet set on a bench near the Missouri River overlook after sunset, please hold onto them until they appear here.

Lost blue-knit scarves near Lewis and Clark Center

6:15 p.m. last Friday, I realized my blue-knit scarves were gone from my coat as I walked away from the Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center. They’re a soft knit with a thin silver thread along the edge, well worn from winter hikes. I retraced my steps along the Missouri River overlook and asked a couple joggers, but no one had seen them. Losing them felt like losing a small part of my routine—the scarves give me warmth on cold days and remind me of last year’s trips downtown Great Falls. If someone picked them up by chance, I’d be grateful to have them back near that overlook by the center.
